Prahran Campus – Swinburne University of Technology
The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) is located at the Prahran campus, along with the renowned Faculty of Design, which offers a range of graphic, industrial, interior/exhibition and multimedia design courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The TAFE division of the Prahran campus also offers graphic design, multimedia design, costume, performing arts and makeup courses.
In addition to the arts offerings, Prahran also has a range of programs in business, social sciences, and hospitality. This is one of Swinburne’s dual sector campuses, meaning that it provides both TAFE and university programs.
In particular, excellent pathways are available in the design area for students to articulate from TAFE to university. The campus is ideally situated in cosmopolitan and popular Prahran, with a dazzling array of clothes shops, bars, restaurants and other retail outlets located along the adjoining Chapel Street.
Students with disabilities are catered for at the University, as are students with needs.
The Prahran campus offers students and staff with exceptional facilities, including a library, Centre for Collaborative Business Innovation, David Williamson theatre, Mecanix training restuarant and the NICA.
While there is no on-campus accommodation available at the Prahran campus, students have a number of alternative options. For more information contact the Swinburne Admissions Office or the student counsellor at the Prahran Campus.
