About Geelong Waurn Ponds
Waurn Ponds is, for the most part, a residential suburb. It is named after a chain of ponds which flow from Mt. Moraic to the Barwon River. These waters are home to a variety of fish and native birds. The neighboring suburbs close to the creek has a skate park as well as a baseball complex. Public transport is provided by buses although the town has seen an extension of its railway services.
