Emerald Campus, CQU
Located in the grounds of the Emerald Agricultural College on Capricorn highway, CQU’s Emerald campus aims to foster a friendly student-staff atmosphere within its quarters. With this in mind, its facilities are very student-accommodating. Computers may be accessed after hours and Student Service Officers are also available for assistance. It also has a bookshop, binding and photocopying services and a student common room.
On-campus housing is available through the Australian Agricultural College.

Located 275 km west of Rockhampton, Emerald is home to 14,000 residents. Its major industries include coal-mining, beef and cattle, cotton growing and tourism. An interesting area in Emerald is located west known as The Gemfields. In here, towns are named according to the types of gems located there such as Sapphire and Rubyvale.
