‘Diverse’ would be the best word to use to describe Sarawak. Home to 28 ethnic groups and a cornucopia of cultures, religion, and people, the Sarawakian terrain varies unlike those that can be usually seen in Australian soil – these are the alluvial coastal plains, mountainous interior and the central undulating belt. Sarawak also has plenty of forests and mountains and its longest river runs through the state.
Sarawak has an equatorial climate. Temperature ranges from 23-32 degrees Celsius all throughout the year and the humidity tends to be consistently high on the lowlands.
