Gold Coast Campus, Griffith University
Not only is it famous for its supremacy when it comes to Health-related degrees, Griffith’s Gold Coast campus also houses around 17, 000 students from Australia and all over the world. It also boasts of its state-of-the-art facilities including the Griffith Centre for Medicine and Oral Health which cost $36 million to build. If that is not enough, there’s also the Gold Coast University Hospital which is scheduled to open this year. Not only that, it also has a number of research facilities which the students are free to use.
Apart from academics, however, students can also pass their time in the campus’ other facilities such as the café, the gym, the pool or the tennis courts. Other necessities would also not be a problem as banking, medical, postal, student guild and a lot of other services are available within the campus.
The Gold Coast campus is located in Southport, north of Surfers Paradise and is accessible by any form of transportation – be it bus, car, train, or plane (an airport is located in Coolangatta, 40 minutes south off campus). Griffith provides on-campus accommodations for 950 students as well as off-campus ones which are accredited by the university themselves. Griffith also provides useful contacts and information to help you find a place to stay. It also approves homestaying which is usually offered to international students, allowing them to live with a family within commuting distance from the university.
