Noosa Campus – CQU
CQUniversity Noosa operates in a unique partnership between CQUniversity and Education Queensland and Noosa Shire Council. Noosa campus is located within the Noosaville Medical and Professional Centre, 90 minutes drive north of Brisbane. Student who study at the campus gets the benefit of studying while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Sunshine Coast.
The campus offers Bachelor of Learning Management, primary, early childhood and secondary education as on-campus programs . Other degrees as Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Social Work and the Graduate Certificate of Human Services programs are offered through a distance education learning system. Such courses, however are also supported by academic staff that students may contact for assistance and guidance during their studies. Students may also study a Bachelor of Music as their Specialisation. Starting on Term 1 of 2012, students can also study Bachelor of Tourism at Noosa campus.
In CQU Noosa, students can access wireless Internet from any location on-campus, and public transport is readily available. A learning resource center and a food outlet is also available for the convenience of the students.
CQUniversity Noosa offers accommodation for students studying at compulsory residential schools like the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the School of Health and Human Services.
Known as the jewel in the crown of the Sunshine Coast, Noosa is just a two hours drive from Queensland’s capital city of Brisbane. The city has a climate and scenery as well as an abundance of lush hinterlands, bays and coves that is excellent for activities like surfing, sunbaking, sightseeing, abseiling, rock-climbing, mountain-biking, sea-kayaking, fishing, diving, snorkeling, horse riding, camel treks, paraflying and joy flights.
There are three main beaches to choose from – the Noosa Main Beach, Alexandria Beach and the Sunshine Beach. Tourists may also trek on the Noosa National Park to enjoy the beauty of nature.
